What a beautiful idea! When I received a comment from Ms. Phaup telling me about their organization, I couldn’t resist helping out with spreading the word!
Michelle Phaup is founder and president of an organization that does incredible things for families in need. Her non-profit organization’s purpose is to help families and individuals in need by helping them raise money to assist in quelling the high price of medical procedures. Won’t you help her by donating your money, time and efforts to such a beautiful cause? What better gift could one give than the gift of life itself!

Breast cancer is a cancer that starts in the cells of the breast in men and women.[1] Worldwide, breast cancer is the second most common type of cancer after lung cancer (10.4% of all cancer incidence, both sexes counted)[2] and the fifth most common cause of cancer death.[3] Worldwide, breast cancer is by far the most common cancer amongst women, with an incidence rate more than twice that of colorectal cancer and cervical cancer and about three times that of lung cancer. However breast cancer mortality worldwide is just 25% greater than that of lung cancer in women.[2] In 2005, breast cancer caused 502,000 deaths worldwide (7% of cancer deaths; almost 1% of all deaths).[3] The number of cases worldwide has significantly increased since the 1970s, a phenomenon partly blamed on modern lifestyles in the Western world.[4][5] [Credit: Wikipedia]

*THIS BLOG FEATURE WILL FEATURE ARTISTS RAISING AWARENESS FOR AUTISM*
Autism is a brain development disorder that impairs social interaction and communication, and causes restricted and repetitive behavior, all starting before a child is three years old. This set of signs distinguishes autism from milder autism spectrum disorders (ASD) such as Asperger syndrome.
Autism affects many parts of the brain; how this occurs is poorly understood. Parents usually notice signs in the first two years of their child’s life. Early behavioral or cognitive intervention can help children gain self-care, social, and communication skills. There is no cure. Few children with autism live independently after reaching adulthood, but some become successful, and an autistic culture has developed, with some seeking a cure and others believing that autism is a condition rather than a disorder.
HuesOfNature uses her artwork as a form of therapy. In addition to her own therapy, she has also created a lovely little fairy to promote Autism awareness as inspired by another etsy artist. A portion of the proceeds from the “Autism Fairy” will be donated to an autism awarness organization. Inspired by ArthurSimo, an incredible 16 year-old artist also featured on etsy.com.

Proceeds from their “Clay for a Cause” section of items will be donated to AutismSpeaks.org. Help this proud mother of an Autistic child raise awareness for this cause!

There are over 6.6 billion people on this planet.
Can you only imagine if every single one of these 6 billion+ people banded together?
We could do a hell of a lot of good on this planet.
Ever since I was little I have wanted to save the world. I have wanted to help those who are in need
I have come to the realization that one person cannot save the world alone.
Billions of people supported by one person just is not a feasible idea.
That’s where all of you come in.
We live on a beautiful planet in a beautiful solar system.
As artists we are inspired by our surroundings and the people in our lives.
We interpret this inspiration into beautiful creations to inspire and share with others.
The Arts have been long proven as a key to human survival.
We use it to teach, to speak, to share.
We have a gift. We have a talent. We have a tool
We are helping to build history.
We are helping to brighten days.
We are helping to beautify the world.
We are helping share love.
Art comes in many shapes, sizes, colours, and forms.
So do the people on this planet.
If we all band together we can make more of a difference in this world than we ever imagined.
And that’s what I am hoping to do with this project.
I am building online communities, groups, and blogs for artists to share their work.
HELPING HANDS ART IS CREATED
WITH THE PURPOSE OF HELPING THOSE IN NEED
The purpose of these sites is for artists to post links to their shops, sites, and items.
Artists are not to use this for publicizing things for their own profits.
These are places for artists to post items who’s profits are to be donated to charitable organizations
Post as many or as few as you like. Post as often or as little as you like.
My wish is that together we can all make a difference in this world using the gifts we were given.
My hope is that together, we can act as a voice for the 6.6 billion people on this planet.
